AmalJyothi College holds a very proud tradition of encouraging Athletes and Sports persons in different fields. Sports and Games being an integral part of AmalJyothi's total Educational Program. Amal Jyothi have been maintaining a high standard in almost all games among engineering colleges in Kerala. We always have thrived hard to excel in the field of sports and games.  It has achieved the invincible track record in Sports and Games in M.GUniversity and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. AJCE bagged the M.G university Shuttle badminton Women championship for four years continuously from 2003-04 to 2006-07.The Department is giving systematic training and coaching for players in various games throughout the year. In order to give competitive experience and exposures, AmalJyothi teams participated in all the Inter Collegiate Sports and Games Tournaments.

Attracting sportsmen/women with a result oriented culture, AmalJyothi College stands on top in sports achievements among the engineering colleges in Kerala. The college has ample facilities for major games and indoor activities. It also has a very well furnished health club with excellent facilities for developing a fine and athletic body; it is opened to the college students throughout the year. With a rich tradition of Basketball from its inception the college organizes ARENA, an All Kerala Intercollegiate tournament in Basketball (men & women) regularly since 2007 shows the commitment towards sports, and fulfilling the dreams of the youth.

The college fields Volleyball, Basketball (M & W), Football, Table Tennis (M & W),,Badminton (M & W) Cricket, Chess (M & W),, and Wrestling (M) teams at University Intercollegiate and other State level competitions. The college makes arrangement for practice matches for all the teams before the competition. College not only looks after the welfare and sports development of the student but also monitoring their academic progress and moral.
